HAYS RIDGE REAL ESTATE

Hays Ridge, also known as Jagare Ridge, is located in the Heritage Valley area of southwest Edmonton. It is bounded by Ellerslie Road to the north, 28 Avenue to the south, 141 Street to the east, and the Glenridding Ravine community to the west. The community is being developed according to the Hays Ridge Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan (NASP) adopted in 2012. Residential home types primarily comprise single-family homes and some row housing in a variety of architectural styles; a small amount of medium- and high-density housing is also planned. Residents can enjoy the trail network, stormwater ponds, playground, and outdoor exercise space available. Hays Ridge is home to the Jagare Ridge Golf Club; the course extends throughout the community. There is also a planned school and park site. There are a variety of commercial options nearby, including restaurants and personal services. Additional options are available in neighbouring communities, as well as in the nearby Currents at Windermere. Limited transit service is available to Hays Ridge along 141 Street, but the rest of the city is accessible via the nearby Anthony Henday Drive. Hays Ridge is named after Dr. Helen Hays, a physician who has contributed greatly to Alberta’s palliative care programs. For her work, she was named an Edmontonian of the Century and has been awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, among other awards.
