CY BECKER REAL ESTATE

Cy Becker is located in northeast Edmonton. The community is bounded to the west by the McConachie neighbourhood, to the north by Anthony Henday Drive, to the east by Manning Drive, and to the south by the Brintnell neighbourhood. The area is being developed according to the Cy Becker Neighbourhood Structure Plan (NSP) adopted in 2012.

Homes consist mainly of low-density residential with a small amount of medium-density and row housing. A stormwater pond is located in the centre of Cy Becker, and walking trails extend throughout the community. The biggest draw is the All Seasons Park, which includes a splash park, tobogganing hills, and a plaza that converts into a skating rink in the winter.

A Catholic K–9 school is planned within the community. Numerous public and Catholic elementary, junior high, and senior high schools are located nearby as well. Residents are served by a small amount of commercial space in Hollick Kenyon Landing, which actually falls within the boundaries of Cy Becker, as well as a local garden centre and greenhouse. Further retail options are available at the nearby 50th Street Market, Manning Town Centre, and Clareview Town Centre. The Clareview Recreation Centre and Northeast Community Health Centre are also within easy reach. Cy Becker residents can access the rest of the city via nearby routes like 167 Avenue, Manning Drive, and Anthony Henday Drive. Transit service is available along 157 Avenue but not within the community itself.

As with all neighbourhoods in the Pilot Sound area, Cy Becker was named after an Albertan bush pilot and wartime flying ace. He also made the first air mail delivery to remote northern communities.
