Edmonton River Valley Development

Edmonton has the largest stretch of connected urban parkland in North America. It stretches 48km and it encompasses more than 22 times the land of New York City's Central Park.

Edmonton is planning an aggressive expansion of the usability of this park space, born of residents' use of the river valley and a need to protect the natural environment within it.

You can read more about this development, what it means for residents, and how the natural landscape and ecosystem is being protected by visitin the City of Edmonton website at https://www.edmonton.ca/projects_plans/parks_recreation/north-shore-promenade
