BEN OFFICER - EDMONTON’S MILITARY REALTOR
I honestly and truly enjoyed my 25+ years of dedicated military service in the Canadian Forces (well small parts of it weren’t much fun). I served with excellent people, in different locations around this great country, and throughout the world. This provided me with a wonderful perspective of people.
Now, as a full-time REALTOR® with the team, I bring the same dedication and service to you. I have bought and sold my own homes, and moved from different cities to other provinces. I know what it’s like to be in your position, especially the military and RCMP families on their HHT’s.
Also, as a family man I know how important it is to get the details right, for you and your children’s sake. You can trust me to treat you right.
- Ben Officer
Ben currently volunteers as a Governor with of the REALTORS® Community Foundation. Since 2008 he has helped with the fundraiser Ride for KIDS (Bike Nites) and in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 has been co-chair of the event. In 2016 he was elected to be the Chair of the REALTORs Community Foundation, honoured to be leading the Foundation in it's efforts.
Ride for KIDS began in 2005 when a group of REALTORS® who were motorbike enthusiasts combined their joy of riding with raising money for kids. Since its inception, over $245,000 has been raised in support of E4C’s School Lunch Program and Crystal Kids.
He also actively assists the Children’s Miracle Network in their local fundraising activities. He has been a dedicated blood, plasma, and platelet donor through the Canadian Blood Services, and has exceeded the “86” donation level.
Being able to support his children in their school fund-raising, volunteering to assist in field trips, and spending quality time with his family are some of the goals that he is realizing now that he has completed his service to Canada.
Ben is an avid NHL hockey fan, motorcycle owner (2006 Suzuki C90 SE), scuba-diver, intermediate downhill skier, and full-time technology junkie. He has built his own computers and keeps up to date with new technology by reading computer magazines and upgrading his computers and smartphone. Many REALTORS flock to his “paperless real estate” course at the REALTORS Association of Edmonton, and he’s usually the first person anyone calls with tech problems.
He is also a big fan of Chuck Norris and the humour associated with the “tough guy”. Chuck Norris’ birthday is an annual comedic event in the Nice Agents offices, thanks to Ben. “If Chuck Norris sold real estate, he would only sell Round Houses."
BEN’S STORY – FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Working on a team is important to me. I was camping with my family in B.C. a couple of summers ago when I found out my older brother was injured in Thailand, while he was on vacation. 2 days later I was on a flight to Bangkok and was there for 37 days while my brother was in hospital.
The Nice Agents Team was there for me, my family, and my clients. That's why I love this team.
